Human Rights Alumni and Recruitment Assistant (Global College)
Position End Date: March 31, 2026
Position Description: The Human Rights Alumni and Recruitment Assistant will be responsible for conducting interviews with Human Rights program alumni for the purpose of creating alumni profiles that will be posted on the Human Rights program website and Global College’s social media pages.
Responsibilities and Duties: The Human Rights Alumni and Recruitment Assistant will be responsible for coordinating with alumni to set-up interviews (either in-person, by phone, or by video call), conducting interviews with alumni, using the interview notes to create alumni profiles, and formatting the profiles to be posted on the website and social media.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have completed at least 30 credit hours of undergraduate coursework. Preference will be given to students majoring in Human Rights. Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be expected to act as a positive representative for Global College and the Human Rights program. Must be comfortable conducting interviews in person, over the phone, and via video call and able to work independently.
Salary Range: $20.57 - $28.40

Social Media Coordinator (Global College)
Position End Date: March 31, 2026
Position Description: The Joint Master’s Program (JMP) in Peace and Conflict Studies is a highly recognized graduate program attracting applicants from all over the world.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the supervisor to ensure a robust social media presence for the PACS program. The ideal candidate is creative and able to work independently, proactively take on responsibilities, and come up with ideas to promote the PACS program’s social media presence and engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Registering a JMP-PACS account on all major social media platforms, including but not limited to
- Bluesky
- TikTok
- Maintaining and updating PACS social media accounts on a consistent, ongoing basis with pertinent events, news, programs, etc.
- Coordinating with the supervisor to perform the responsibilities listed above.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Joint Master’s program offered by the University of Ó£ÌÒÊÓÆµ and University of Manitoba or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at the University of Ó£ÌÒÊÓÆµ.
- General competence in maintaining and updating social media profiles.
- A high degree of dependability.
- Ability to work individually.
Salary Range: $17.43 - $24.22

Research / Communications Assistant (MDP)
Position End Date: March 31, 2026
Position Description: The Research Assistant will work with the MDP program on a range of research and communications projects.
Responsibilities and Duties: The selected candidate would be required to perform general duties including data input, social media posting, literature searches.
Required Qualifications: Preference will be given to graduate students in the MDP or MAIG programs. Candidates should demonstrate experience working in research environments and have prior experience working with limited supervision.
Salary Range: $17.43 - $24.22

About the Work Study Program
The Work Study Program provides on-campus part-time job opportunities for eligible full-time University of Ó£ÌÒÊÓÆµ undergraduate and graduate students. These jobs are available during the Fall/Winter term (November to March). Once we have received your application, we will determine your eligibility and send you an email notification through your UÓ£ÌÒÊÓÆµ webmail. Within that email we will send you a list of the available jobs.
You are eligible for the Work Study Program if you meet all of the following criteria:
- Currently an undergraduate or graduate¹ student (PACE students are currently ineligible);
- Enrolled full-time for the current Fall/Winter session (i.e., at least 18 credit hours or 12 credit hours if registered with Accessibility Services);
- Completed 24 credit hours at an undergraduate level at the University (or equivalent);
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0;
- Have demonstrated financial need² (shortage between your expenses and resources); and
- A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, protected person or an international student with a valid study permit.
¹Graduate students in a joint program may only be eligible if currently registered at UW or whose thesis advisor is a UW Faculty member.
²Zero on all resources fields is deemed an incomplete application. As a full-time student, you are expected to have some form of funding source.
