July 7 - RecPlex open to the public, with some facilities closed
The Recplex is now open to the public, with some spaces still unavailable while repairs are made. All scheduled activities on the fields have resumed, and four out of six changerooms are open. All activities in the Community Gym and Multipurpose Room remain cancelled until repairs are completed. The washrooms on the second floor are also closed until further notice.
June 27 - RecPlex Parkade to open June 30
The RecPlex Parkade will be open from Monday, June 30. However, the RecPlex facilities, including the fields, community gym, and multipurpose room, will not yet be open for use.
June 26, 3:30 p.m. - Axworthy Health and RecPlex closed for the remainder of this week
The Axworthy Health and RecPlex, including the RecPlex parkade, will remain closed throughout June 26 and 27. The date for the building to reopen has not yet been determined, and further updates will be provided on this page as they become available.
June 26, 8:30 a.m. - Axworthy Health and RecPlex temporarily closed
Please note that, due to a small electrical fire that occurred last night, the Axworthy Health and RecPlex, including the RecPlex parkade, will be closed today (June 26).
This closure could extend additional days. An email will be sent once the building is reopened.
